e&e is seeking an Office Engineer for an onsite contract opportunity in Mount Laurel, NJ!
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Engineer to support construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, quality control, and project documentation—particularly in the transportation or large-scale construction sectors. This role involves coordination with internal project teams and external stakeholders, ensuring effective contract administration, schedule tracking, and quality compliance throughout all phases of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain contract-related data in PROCORE through direct input or data uploads.
- Assist in preparing project status reports to track progress, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement new quality control processes.
- Represent the Task Manager and/or Program Manager in assigned meetings.
- Maintain organized contract files and project logs, including correspondence, invoices, progress payments, change orders, and cost estimates.
- Monitor contract logs to ensure timely document distribution between contractor and staff, ensuring contract compliance.
- Collect daily inspection reports, track and reconcile contractor lost time.
- Schedule and coordinate progress meetings with contractors, staff, and consultants; prepare agendas, record minutes, and track follow-up actions.
- Assist in collecting contract documentation and data to help resolve contract changes and claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Task Manager and/or Program Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and/or construction safety; at least 1 year in the transportation industry or on large-scale construction projects.
- Proven QA/QC experience on rail transit projects, particularly involving electrical systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in the design, construction, or management of electrical infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience in a QA/QC role within a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and PROCORE.
