Solutions Architect

e&e is seeking an Architect for a remote contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA!

We are seeking a highly experienced Architect to lead the modernization of IT infrastructure and data application systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, planning, and implementing cloud-based solutions while ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy. This position requires extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure services and cloud migration methodologies, enabling business transformations and workload migrations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cloud and hybrid solutions using Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT managers, business analysts, developers, DBAs, and network teams to achieve project objectives.
• Define and apply enterprise-level solution architecture standards.
• Provide strategic guidance on infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques.
• Research, design, and develop public and private cloud solutions.
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality objectives.
• Perform requirements analysis, provide recommendations, and implement solutions.
• Conduct testing, training, and knowledge transfer for system maintenance.
• Maintain technical and procedural documentation.
• Ensure project compliance with relevant federal and state standards.
• Present technical concepts to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Participate in project status reviews and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless computing.
• Strong background in IT operations (compute, networking, storage, security, business continuity, and disaster recovery).
• Proficiency in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of software, data, and systems architecture, as well as cloud computing best practices.
• Experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Proficiency in SQL, .NET, Python, and related programming languages.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• experience as a Software Development Lead.
• Architect or Designer on mission-critical systems.
• Relevant IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced study preferred).
• Microsoft Azure certification preferred.
