Description

A third generation, family-owned business, EE Wine, Inc., now trading as Wine Energy, employs more than 170 service-conscious individuals and operates a fleet of 30 trucks and vehicles.  We sell over 33 million gallons of heating oil and other petroleum products every year and serve nearly 3000 residential and commercial customers throughout Northern Virginia.  Additionally, our Retail Division proudly operates Wi-Not Stop convenience stores and a Marketplace. Our HVAC Division is Class A licensed by the state of Virginia to install the latest energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, along with Crystal Clean Duct Services, to improve your air quality needs.  

The Store Manager oversees and is accountable for the operation of a gas station/c-store, to include deli operations at applicable locations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, personnel management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Promotes and ensures a safe, positive public image within the community.

· Recruits, hires and trains positive, enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service, safety protocols, store image, and marketing execution meet Corporate standards and align with company culture and values.

· Develops and assigns tasks and schedules to ensure store and deli are clean, organized, and well-kept according to Corporate standards.

· Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Deli Clerk in the event of unscheduled absences

· Ensures that all merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly. 

· Maintains a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.

· Is responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper use of all security devices.

· Analyzes management reports and takes appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits.

· Develops positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.

· Promotes excellent customer service and resolves customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

· Establishes periodic, ongoing communication meetings with all store employees and conducts written performance appraisals, providing proper performance-based feedback

· Organizes and maintains all store files and manuals.

· Ensures that all required and requested reports are completed accurately and timely.

· Ensures strict compliance with local authorities concerning retail sales of tobacco and alcohol products 

· Ensures strict compliance with local authorities concerning dispensing fuel into portable containers.

· Ensures strict compliance with health code and food safety policies 

· Safeguards and accounts for all money received and disbursed.

· Stand and/or walk up to eight (8) hours a day.

· Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes per day. (e.g., stocking & maintaining inventory levels)

Requirements

· High School graduate or equivalent.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may require evening and weekend shifts.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Must possess leadership skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Problem solving skills and abilities.

· Detail oriented, self-starter with operational skills.

· Ability to develop and coach a team of employees.

· Proficient with a telephone, cash register, fuel console, money order machine, microwave, grill, nacho machine, coffee grinder, etc.

· Must be able to work with a minimum amount of direction and periodic supervision.

Experience in retail sales and food service preferred.
