Job Description:
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, requisitions, invoicing, bill payments, and certified payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and be comfortable handling a variety of financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the full cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
- Prepare and process requisitions, invoices, and bill payments in a timely manner.
- Handle certified payroll and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Accurately enter invoices and maintain organized financial records.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required.
- Work closely with project managers and vendors to manage payments and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required with strong experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and financial reporting.
- Experience with certified payroll and construction-related financial management is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
