Job Description
The Service Desk Support Specialist – Mid provides essential support to end users on a variety of technical issues. This role involves identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems, responding to support requests via telephone, email, and in-person, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. The specialist will document, track, and monitor problems to ensure proper coordination and resolution. As the first point of contact, the specialist will troubleshoot hardware/software PC and printer problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to end users on a variety of technical issues.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support.
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure all phases of help desk support are properly coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately.
- Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
