Introductory Statement:
The Delivery Driver aids the EJ Reynolds Company Shipping and Receiving Department in meeting customer requested scheduled deliveries by providing courteous, efficient, and professional delivery and pick-up service in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); deliveries, material pick up, loading/unloading, running errands and, delivery bay cleanliness & organization.
Duties:
· Drives company vehicle safely and efficiently to deliver and/or pick-up materials and supplies
· Verifies order details, records delivery information, and obtains proper signatures on delivery paperwork
· Follows directions or uses a map to locate delivery addresses or locations efficiently
· Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, including treating all internal customers with respect
· Informs management or supervisory personnel of any complaints or requests learned during delivery/pick up runs in a timely manner
· Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles
· Performs routine safety check on vehicles according to company guidelines
· Assists in shipping and receiving bay with stocking, loading and organizing materials when needed
Qualifications and Skills Required

Qualifications and Skills Required
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2 years in shipping and receiving or related experience
- The ability to drive a flat-bed truck
- The ability to drive with pull behind or gooseneck trailer
- The ability to operate a lift truck to move palletized loads up to 10,000 pounds
- The ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 pounds
- The ability to perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods
- A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
- Safe and lawful operation of company vehicles at all times
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
