Description : Security Lead Officer for Downtown Metro Atlanta Class A Building
Position : Unarmed Security Lead Officer
Location : Atlanta (Metro Area)
Pay : $19 / hr
Shift : 2nd and 3rd (Monday- Friday)
The Shift Lead Officer is responsible for ensuring security officers are clocked in and posts are fully staffed and in proper uniform. The Shift Lead Officer makes sure all keys are accounted for, reviews pass along logs and the security daily memo. The Shift Lead Officer must have a thorough knowledge of the published post orders to see to it that all officers are completing their tasks according to those post orders. In addition, the Shift Lead Officer is a backup for other posts, including scheduling officer breaks and providing relief at fixed posts as needed.
The Shift Lead Officer must ensure all officers are performing professionally and courteously as lobby ambassadors, providing physical security and access control for public and non-public areas, monitoring CCTV / Access control and Life Safety systems, completing foot patrols, responding effectively to emergencies and incidents, and implementing the client's security objectives according to policies, procedures and the published post orders.
General Duties Include :
- Ingress and egress access control including tenant, visitor and vendor identification verification
- Random and / or scripted roving patrols of interior and exterior building areas, including the parking garage
- Report criminal activity and visible safety hazards observed while on property
- Monitor and respond to building access control, CCTV and fire detection systems
- Report unusual incidents detected or reported by a tenant / visitor to Owner via the designated Owner contact
- Complete incident reports and forward to Owner
- Complete daily activity reports
- Respond to support life safety duties as identified in Post Orders and Owner Policies and Procedures, including contacting local authorities, coordinating and directing emergency responders, leading evacuations for tenants and visitors, directing media to a designated location, and securing the property during inclement weather
- Provide wayfinding and escorts in or out of facilities or spaces within the facilities including the parking garage
