SUMMARY
Prepares shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pulls parts from printed pick lists.
- Packs and crates orders for shipment.
- Attaches shipping instructions to outgoing materials.
- Performs daily safety inspection of department forklifts.
- Safely operates industrial forklift truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products in the shipping department.
- Inspects shipments for correct materials, packing, tagging, and handling instructions.
- Completes inventory audits when necessary.
- Cleans and organizes work area.
- Assists with the receiving function as needed.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and / or training and a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in safely operating forklift equipment; ability to obtain and maintain a forklift driver's license.
