Equipment Operator Job Summary
E.K. Services, Inc. is hiring experienced heavy equipment operators. Heavy equipment includes Excavators, Back-hoes, Rubber Tire Wheel Loaders, Track Loaders, Track Dozers, Skid Steers. Operators must be comfortable digging around multiple existing utilities for installation of new/replacement underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drainage. Operator must be able to report any defects or unsafe conditions to foreman and properly complete all equipment logs including fuel logs. Eligible candidates will actively work with crew to meet company core values.

Equipment Operators Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of all aspects of construction
- Maintain all tools required for Equipment Operators
- Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Work environment conditions consist of working in the sun, heat, cold, and water where the conditions could be dirty or dusty.
- Ability to climb on and off equipment safely
- Ability to sit for long periods a day for several days in a row
- The ability to frequently lift 20 to 100lbs or more
- Ability to work extended hours during construction season (OT is paid at time and a half)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
License/Certification Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass Drug Screen
- DOT physical required upon hire
- Drivers' License & Acceptable Driving Record
