Job description
We are seeking skilled Installation and Repair Technicians to support the deployment and maintenance of computer systems within the U.S. Department of Energy. Technicians will collaborate with the SRMC scheduler to ensure the efficient installation, setup, and maintenance of PCs while providing technical support for end users.
Installation Technicians:
Responsibilities:
Deliver and set up new PCs for designated users.
Transfer user data from the existing device to the new system as requested.
Install required applications per user specifications.
Ensure proper system functionality and user satisfaction upon installation.
Collect and return replaced equipment to the designated location.
Qualifications:
- Experience with PC deployment, setup, and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of data migration, software installation, and hardware replacement processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Effective communication skills to assist users with technical issues.
- Job Type: Contract
- Schedule: 10 hours shift Monday to Thursday
