Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at [Hotel Name] in [City, State]. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Assist the General Manager in the overall management of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Guest Satisfaction:
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by ensuring quality service and prompt resolution of guest complaints.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Financial Management:
  • Assist in the development and management of the hotel's budget, revenue forecasting, and expense control.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and control costs.
  • Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor department heads and staff, fostering a positive work environment and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular meetings and trainings to ensure staff are well-equipped to perform their duties.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, addressing performance issues as needed.
  • Sales and Marketing:
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and occupancy.
  • Participate in sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings as needed.
  • Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans and promotional activities.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain emergency procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety hazard

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
