ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
EXPERIENCE -- Has 10 years of previous Electrical Estimating experience. Electrical Project Management/Superintendent experience may apply depending on duties. Familiar with both commercial and industrial large projects. Experienced with complete take off of electrical drawings. Able to understand architectural, structural, mechanical and related drawings. Ability to calculate loads in accordance with N.E.C. and other published standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills. ACCUBID experience a plus.
LICENSE -- Electrical - Current Journeyman or Master preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position would estimate large electrical projects including the following general tasks:
- Clear and complete understanding of ALL contract documents.
- Clear and complete understanding of ALL drawings.
- Clear and complete understanding of ALL client rules & procedures.
- Good general computer skills.
- Review specifications, drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Responsible for working with subcontractors and suppliers during the bid process, making sure they have all current information regarding the project.
- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontractors, productivity analysis reports, etc., into the estimate.
- Evaluate and review all levels of electrical estimates.
- Manage estimating database pricing and labor units.
- Coordinate, manage & facilitate estimating system training for other staff.
- Organization skills necessary for efficient execution of multiple tasks
Must have a clean driving record, pass a drug test and present themselves in a clean professional manner in all project and corporate environments such as airlines, pharmaceutical, food processing, government facilities, and any general construction project site. Work during off-normal hours may be required.
