Certified Medical Assistant

Essential Job Responsibilities:
ENT Back Office/Certified Medical Assistant duties include but not limited to:
- Exam room setup and routine cleaning
- Patient vitals and intake health history and reason for visit
- Ordering and managing necessary tests, imaging etc
- Prepping and assisting in office procedures
- Scheduling surgeries and procedures
- Communicating with patients regarding their test results, prescriptions or other recommendations
- Cleaning and sterilization of instruments
- Inventory and stocking of medical supplies
- Scanning, assigning and progress noting incoming documents and health records
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical assistant certification from an accredited institution
Experience:
- CMA :1 year experience with ENT experience preferred
- Customer service: 1 year
- Medical terminology: 1 year
- EMR/EHR experience required: E-Clinical Works preferred
Other Requirements: Current documentation of a national certification. Current CPR certification preferred. Current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).

- Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice.
- Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
