Description
Looking for a recent college graduate in a premedical program to work for a year as a medical assistant. Gap year students welcome! Our current MAs were just accepted to medical school, and two prior were accepted into PA school.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, by taking patient histories and reporting to the providers, giving direct patient counseling
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs
- Assist with in-office sinus procedures, including patient counseling, procedure equipment set-up, first assist in sinus cases, post-procedure instructions.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- College Degree, ideally seeking future advanced degree in healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We do a lot, and there is a lot to learn
