The Team Lead is primarily responsible for providing support to the Revenue Cycle Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the team. This role is a dual position with its own workload, along with serving as the main point of contact for team questions and escalations. Focuses on ensuring quality, productivity, and timely completion of tasks. Exhibits expertise in the claims follow-up process, ensuring the full utilization of all functionalities to optimize the efficient review and processing of claims and related tasks. This individual must possess strong soft skills, exhibit good time management, and the ability to maintain strong, productive relationships with all departments.

Job Functions Include
- Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, training, and support to the team.
- Assist the RCM in coordinating, assigning, and auditing the work of the staff to ensure standards and deadlines are consistently met.
- Assist the team in resolving complex issues and escalations, identifying trends, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Recommend and coordinate training opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization within the department.
- Drive standardization of processes including proper documentation, distribution, and communication.
- Assist the RCM in maintaining a strong and positive team environment.
- Recommend and implement best practices to streamline revenue cycle operations, reduce denials, and improve collections.
- Accurate data entry of information into the computer system
- Follow appropriate HIPAA guidelines provide medical records to primary care provider, insurance carriers, referred providers and patients per patient request
- Work well individually and in a team-environment accomplishing set goals
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in revenue cycle operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years recent experience in medical billing and collections and emphasis on high volume and/or multiple accounts
- Strong understanding of CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, HCPC codes and use of modifiers
- Proven track record of written appeals with success
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities commitment to company values
- Ability to work independently and with customers and insurance companies in a high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent customer service
- Basic math skills and accurately process money transactions (must be able to read & understand an EOB)
- Experience with office equipment: multi-functional printer/copier/fax, multi-line phone system, calculator, postage machine, and so on
- Must be proficient using the computer, data entry, and have above average typing skills
- Experience with MS Office, EMR/EPM systems
- Experience with eClinical Works Practice Management system preferred
- Prior experience with ENT specialty a plus
