**Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Driver to join our team at E-Opala Electrical Recycling. This role involves the responsible collection and delivery of electronic waste and equipment while ensuring safe transport and handling to assigned destinations. The ideal candidate is a self starter, reliable, motivated, and detail oriented. This role partners with our Inventory and IT departments and will collaborate during tasks and duties within the company to support overall operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Driving and Transportation**

- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment when receiving orders from clients and transporting to designated locations.

- Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption and wasteful practices. Follow all traffic laws and company policies.

- Prepare shipments for delivery and properly secure all items for transport and ensure proper packaging and documentation.

- Maintain accurate records of client orders and deliveries for company reporting.

2. **Loading and Unloading**

- Assist in the loading and unloading of electronic materials at collection points and company facilities.

- Handle items safely to prevent damage during transport.

- Assist with warehouse inventory management tasks, including organizing and labeling electronics, and sorting and dismantling electronic components.

- Maintain accurate inventory records using company software.

3. **Customer Interaction**

- Process orders received in a timely manner.

- Communicate professionally with clients during pick-up and drop-off services.

- Provide excellent customer service and address any questions or concerns.

4. **Vehicle Maintenance**

- Regularly inspect and maintain company's vehicle fleet. Ensure proper operability, cleanliness, and function of all vehicles and select heavy equipment.

- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

5. **Miscellaneous Duties**

- Participate in safety and training sessions as required.

- Maintain accurate inventory records using company software.

- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

- Ensure warehouse/work center is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

**Qualifications**

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience in a similar Driver role preferred.

- Ample knowledge of local routes and surrounding areas.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more).

- Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical.

- Familiarity with inventory management systems and possess mbasic computer skills.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Prior experience working in a warehouse preferred.

- Fork Lift experience preferred.

- Basic knowledge of electronic waste handling and recycling protocols is a plus.

- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.

- Proficient in basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g.,fluids, brakes, tires, safety issues).

**Working Conditions**

- Work will primarily be outdoor with exposure to varying weather conditions.

- Flexible working hours may be required, including occasional weekends or evenings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
