: E-Waste Technician

Our e-waste company is seeking a motivated and fast-learning E-Waste Technician and to join our team. As an E-Waste Technician, you will be responsible for the dismantling, sorting, and processing of electronic waste in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the handling and disposal of e-waste, as well as answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle, sort, and process electronic waste in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Identify and segregate different types of e-waste components, including metals, plastics, and circuit boards.
  • Operate various tools and equipment, such as power tools, hand tools, and forklifts, to facilitate the dismantling and processing of e-waste.
  • Ensure that all e-waste materials are handled and processed in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service, including answering questions, scheduling pickups, and resolving issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education programs to stay current on industry best practices and regulations.
  • Work well in a team environment and be able to work with little direction after training.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 70 pounds).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers over the phone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $22.53 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Honolulu, HI 96819: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Restoration: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
