Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Associate Manager with a strong background in manufacturing IT systems and infrastructure to lead our plant’s technology initiatives. The role involves designing, managing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the business needs of a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Design and Management:
- Design, configure, and manage LAN/WAN networks, including L3 and L2 switches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain network diagrams and documentation.
2. Server Management:
- Plan and manage the implementation of servers (currently in development stage).
- Ensure uptime, security, and performance of server infrastructure.
- Perform regular updates, patch management, and backups.
3. IT Infrastructure Design and Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Develop and implement scalable IT solutions to support manufacturing processes and business operations.
4. IT Infrastructure Operation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure and systems.
- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of IT resources.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment procurement and maintenance.
5. Firewall Configuration and Management:
- Configure, monitor, and manage the FortiGate 100F firewall system.
- Establish and enforce security policies to protect IT systems from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement necessary updates.
6. Hardware and Software Management:
- Procure, install, and manage hardware and software across the organization.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and licenses.
- Ensure compatibility and functionality of systems with operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in Manufacturing IT: Prior experience in IT management within a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, network systems, and security protocols.
- Proficiency in managing firewalls (FortiGate preferred) and network hardware (L3/L2 Switches).
- Hands-on experience with IT hardware and software administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Key Competencies:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead IT projects from planning to execution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
Additional Information:
