School Route Driver for the Northeast region, servicing prep schools and universities.

The School Route Driver will be responsible for a delivery route and will play a key role in servicing and maintaining relationships at world-class institutions daily. The professional in this role will load and unload the delivery truck with the customer’s product in an efficient manner and ensure that all items are accurately tracked to ensure on-time delivery. Routes may change based on the needs of the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver laundry to designated locations on schedule.
- Interact professionally with external school-specific customers, including CFOs, Business Managers, Infirmaries, Facilities, and Kitchens.
- Ensure all customer interactions are positive, maintaining the company's reputation for excellent service.
- Promote sales and offer new products and services wherever possible to maximize revenue.
- Drive for extended periods, picking up and delivering products to customers.
- Track customer products using well-established processes/procedures.
- Communicate and work well with internal departments (Plant) as needed.
- Ensure that the delivery vehicle is in good operating condition and report service needs to a supervisor and/or General Manager.
- Assist in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is complete.
- No nights or weekends are part of our normal schedule.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Current DOT card (Department of Transportation certification).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, as applicable.
- Safely drive delivery trucks and perform manual labor in all types of weather.
- Use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
- Plan and follow delivery routes and ability to prioritize, organize work, and manage time effectively.
- Maintain basic logs and records.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the highest degree of professionalism.
- Knowledge and experience in customer service, with a sense of urgency and great attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and flexibility are required.
- Ability to handle and deliver laundry efficiently.
- Work unsupervised.
- Reading and writing English is essential for this position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
