Position: Summer 2025 GBDS Business Operations Intern (Undergrad)

Position Summary
Global Biometrics & Data Sciences (GBDS) is the quantitative center of excellence within Global Drug Development at BMS. GBDS members are dedicated to achieving the vision of “Every Drug Development decision optimized by the power of data.” The candidate will explore opportunities to recommend process simplification, strengthen communication and enhance the efficiency of the Business Operations team. By collaborating with various Business Operations groups, the candidate will gain experience in teamwork and interaction with multiple stakeholders throughout the Research & Development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
The Summer Intern, assisting the GBDS Business Operations function, will have the opportunity to:
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities with GBDS compliance process and reporting to benefit to drive efficiencies.
- Review processes used to gather current in-depth financial reporting and identify possible areas for efficiencies.
- Explore opportunities to support communication initiatives that will enable timely and proactive user implementation, including streamlining of GBDS SharePoint sites/libraries and newsletter improvements.
- Prepare and present monthly updates to the GBDS Business Operations group to share areas for improvement, as well as final presentation to share implementation progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current enrollment in pursuit of BS in Economics, Finance, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Internship program will run for 10-12 weeks.
- Available to work up to 40 hours/week during normal business hours during summer.
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good verbal communication skills, ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Professional, proactive demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must not be employed at the time the internship starts.
