Accounting Clerk I

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the accounting field while working alongside experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in accounting principles and practices, and a desire to learn about various financial processes within our organization.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Support the accounting team in performing account reconciliations.
• Help maintain accurate records through double entry bookkeeping.
• Participate in payroll processing using Paycor and other financial software.
• Contribute to the analysis of financial data and assist in the application of financial concepts.
• Engage in governmental accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects related to technical accounting and financial services.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks and other financial software is preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation processes is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
