Job Summary:
The HAACP Certified Food Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food production facility in Cool Springs for our Second Shift operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and best practices in food manufacturing. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust HACCP system in accordance with all relevant food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, state regulations).
- Conduct regular Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) reviews and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Oversee sanitation and hygiene programs throughout the production facility.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process, including raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
- Investigate and resolve food safety and quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all food safety and quality control activities.
- Production Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet store food demand and production capacity.
- Oversee production operations, including equipment setup, material handling, and product packaging.
- Monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of production employees, including food production workers and quality control manager.
- Provide training and development opportunities for all production personnel.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in food production and safety.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to network and learn about new technologies and innovations.
Qualifications:
- HACCP certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience in a food production management role or a similar role in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Excellent knowledge of food processing equipment and techniques.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
