Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities and those requiring hospice care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in patient assessments and care planning.
- Engage with patients suffering from dementia to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as required by the healthcare facility.
Qualifications
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification is required.
- Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and basic medical procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals facing various health challenges, including hospice care needs.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
