Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Field Engineer/Technician to support the Judicial Information System in Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and upgrading Cisco switches and routers, troubleshooting network issues, and maintaining network infrastructure across 80 sites in Maryland.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and upgrade Cisco switches and routers.
- Implement and maintain EIGRP Routing Protocol.
- Configure and manage VLANs, VSS, switch stacking, and port channels.
- Create and verify VLAN configurations, assigning access ports accordingly.
- Travel to sites for troubleshooting, installation, and repair of data and voice drops.
- Survey courtrooms, IDF, MDF, and office spaces for network equipment placement.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, network printers, wireless access points, and switch configurations.
- Replace power supplies, switches, wireless access points, and Eaton UPS units at multiple locations.
- Identify and manage network cables and patch cables.
- Perform preventive maintenance for IDFs and MDFs.
- Provide end-user support, troubleshooting laptops and desktops as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve networking issues efficiently.
- Experience working in large-scale, multi-site environments.
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple locations.
