Position Duties and Responsibilities :
Ultrasound Technologists shall be able to :
Work cooperatively with various healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to VA inpatient and outpatients.
Perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound scans, including general ultrasound (thyroid, abdomen, pelvis, etc.), vascular Doppler imaging, and more.
Process images for interpretation and complete exams in Oracle / Cerner EHR systems.
Maintain records, equipment, and report any issues to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Exercise initiative in emergency situations.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Business Hours :
Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 4 : 30 p.m.
Work Schedule :
40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday Friday. Includes a 30-minute non-paid lunch break.
Qualifications :
Full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S.
ARRT-US or ARDMS certification, with at least one year of experience in general and vascular ultrasound.
BLS certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart Association.
Proficiency in English and computer literacy.
Experience with Oracle / Cerner EHR is preferred (training will be provided).
