What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Data Analyst position at E-Solutions?
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with a dynamic team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts on Data Sourcing, Controls and feeding Surveillance systems.
2. Create Data lineage for critical data elements across systems in pre-trade and post-trade.
3. Perform detailed data analysis and create visual representations and dashboards from the data, participate in data modelling exercises and be part of transformation for the group in data strategy.
4. Liaise with development team on data ingestion, transformation and controls in build out of the strategic data platform.
5. Comply with the Clients Project Life Cycle and internal processes.
6. Closely track change requests / ad hoc activities (In Jira/Confluence) and communicate the impact on a timely basis.
Skills / Experience
7. Capital markets/broker dealer/asset management experience. More specifically:
a. Must have prior experience working for an investment bank, functioning as a data analyst in technology projects.
b. Understanding of traded products, including FX, FX Derivatives, Swaps
c. Experience with trading data feeds (Trades, Orders, Executions) for these products
d. Experience with FIX protocol – A plus
8. Work in SQL, Python, or relevant tools (Alteryx) that would facilitate requirements analysis and developing business logic.
9. Experience in data visualization and representing data via dashboard using tools like Tableau
10. Experience working with JIRA / confluence (technical PMO experience – A plus)
11. Knowledgeable in Data governance and Data Principles
12. Strong communication skills and excellence in documentation (Sharepoint, confluence etc).
13. Good co-ordination skills to work in partnership with users, project manager and developers.
