Our client in the Metal Fabrication industry is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Detailer to join their team on FT and permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with the planning, production & sales department to measure, assess & sketch structural layout and details for new and existing tanks, bridges, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings, analyze blueprints and documentation for estimates, and use CAD systems accurately.
- Enter materials list data for fabricators, create / manage work orders, and coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Troubleshoot drawing issues, develop drawings from concepts, assist in project estimates, and provide guidance for complex engineering projects.
- Review shop drawings, communicate with customers / engineers, and collaborate with the Quality Department.
- Participate in planning / estimating stages, maintain good relationships, adapt to changes, and support sales / engineering as needed.
