\n- As a Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer, you will develop and maintain in-house and commercial flight dynamics and mission analysis software tools, and apply them to design, analyze, and operate our satellite constellations. You will engage with E-Space Guidance Navigation and Controls, Software, and Operations engineers. This position will report to the Director of GNC and will be based in our Saratoga office.
- Perform orbit determination
- Generate required products (access, eclipse, TLE, etc)
- Schedule resources for contacts
- Flight safety (collision avoidance) decision and action analysis
- Perform complex mission analysis and trade studies
- Develop flight operations automation
- Always looking to improve the flight dynamics process and engineer new innovative methods
- Bachelors degree Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in space flight operations or astrodynamics software applications
- 2 years of software development experience in Python
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, perturbations, navigation, and orbit propagation
