The Semiconductor Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, design and buildout of a manufacturing plant. The deal candidate will have a strong background in construction and maintenance of semiconductor facilities, including cleanrooms, process utilities, critical infrastructure, and piping installation for chemicals and high purity gasses. They will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
This position will be in Arlington, TX and report to the Director, Technical Program Management who is located in Saratoga, CA Office. They will work closely with on-site facility managers, manufacturing engineers and an international team of process specialists.
\n- Oversee the planning, design and buildout of a manufacturing plant ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
- Manage the shipment, installation, commissioning and startup of process machinery.
- Negotiate and interface with architects, engineers, MEP contractors and shipping providers.
- Conduct request for proposals (RFPs); complete bid analysis and leveling; lead evaluation interviews; review vendors for quality and timing; recommend resources to project team for selection.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate project meetings. Implemented communication plans for meeting minutes and written reports to keep stakeholders and project resources informed.
- Build consensus toward timely and cost-effective solutions, resolve conflicts.
- Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Report status and variances.
- 8 years of relevant design & construction management experience.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience.
- Licensed Engineer or Architect preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor facilities, cleanroom design, and facility construction standards and regulations.
- Experience with semiconductor vacuum equipment, piping installation for chemicals and high purity gasses.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering semiconductor fab construction projects.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in all aspects of procurement, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance to ensure delivery of high-quality services and materials.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
- Knowledge of project scheduling, durations of design and construction phases, ability to create project schedules in Smartsheets.
This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Arlington office. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
