Position Summary :
The Service Training Supervisor will lead the development, implementation, and management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) training programs under long-term service agreements. This role is crucial in ensuring that maintenance and technical personnel have the skills and knowledge to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain energy storage systems effectively and safely. The Service Training Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, safety, and external partners, to deliver practical training aligned with industry standards and company objectives. The training program initiated within the North American region will become the standard and foundation from which we transferthe training programsto other regions. The North American training center will become the global training center that not only develops the programs but also transfers them to other regions.
Responsibilities :
Training Program Development :
- Design and develop a comprehensive training curriculum, tasked with a certification program for the integrated systemsand subsystems for both e-Storage field teams and 3rd party service providers.
- Develop Train the Trainer program for BESS maintenance and operations, including safety protocols, equipment handling, systemdiagnostics, and emergencyprocedures.
- Create trainingmaterials, manuals, and assessment toolstailored to meet LTSA requirements and industry standards.
- Create e-Learning modulesand a library for the varioustraining programs
Training Delivery and Coordination :
Conducted and coordinated in-house and on-site trainingsessions, utilizing hands-on, virtual, and classroom-style approaches.Oversee the scheduling of training sessionsto ensure coverageacross all operational regions and compliance with LTSA timelines.Technical Competency Evaluation :
Evaluate trainees' competency through written, practical, and situational assessments.Monitor progress, provide feedback and additional trainingto meet proficiency standards.Continuous Improvement :
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to updatetraining materials as systems are upgraded or new technologies are implemented.Incorporate feedbackprograms designed to capture input from traineesand supervisors to improve training methods and content.Utilize operational data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the training program and measure the efficiencies of the technicians workingwithin each systemand subsystem.Compliance and Safety :
Ensure all training materialsand sessions complywith local, national, and company safety regulations.Implement safetytraining specific to high-voltage systems,battery chemistry, fire suppression systems, and incident response protocol.Equipment Lock-out : Tag out specifictraining as per company standardsand protocolsDocumentation and Reporting :
Maintain accurate recordsof training attendance, performance, and certifications.Provide regularreports to management on training outcomes, skill gaps, and compliance with LTSA requirements.Required Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.Equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum 5 yearsof experience in the batteryenergy storage or renewable energysector.Proven experience in training programdesign and delivery,particularly in a technical field.Strong knowledge of BESS technology, LTSA requirements, and industry safetystandards.Excellent communication and presentation skills,with the abilityto engage diverseaudiences.Certificationin training methodologies or adult education (e.g., Train the Trainer) is an advantage.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) preferred.Skills and Competencies :
