Key Responsibilities:
- Audio Transcription: Transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions from audio recordings with precision. Accurately identify speakers and capture all spoken content in verbatim format
- Quality Assurance: Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court formatting rules. Familiarity withQA processes to maintain high transcription standards
- Colloquy Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding of legal terminologies, colloquy, and court-specific language
- Time Management: Manage 1-3 day turnaround times, allowing minimum of 1 day per 1 hour of assigned audio. Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining accuracy
- Verbatim Transcription Experience: Proven experience in transcribing court proceedings, trials, and depositions with adherence to court formatting rules. Experience transcribing large jury trials is a plus!
- AAERT certifiedapplicants will have premier consideration for the position
- Q&A and Colloquy Knowledge: Ability to distinguish and format Q&A and colloquy format
- Software Proficiency: Competence in using transcription software and Microsoft Office
- Skills Assessment: Willingness to undergo a skills assessment test to evaluate abilities
- Availability: Able to transcribe a minimum of 1.5-2hours of audio per day
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11
