Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level I Trauma Center and possess knowledge of anatomy, triage procedures, and infant care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ conditions, including performing spinal taps when necessary.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations within the hospital setting.
Requirements
- Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in a hospital environment, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center.
- Strong clinical skills in areas such as infectious disease care, ventilating patients, and internal medicine.
- Knowledge of anatomy and experience with triage processes.
- Ability to perform specialized procedures including spinal taps as required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on safety and quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
