Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.Responsibilities :
- Drive company issued trucks to transport internal parts between locations, vehicles under 26,000 pounds
- Ensure safety by following appropriate policies and procedures for vehicle operation.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment, including checking tires, oil and lights on truck and determine when and the type of maintenance required for safe vehicle operation.
- Utilize radio or company cell phone to communicate with supervisors and coworkers on part moves and expedite needs.
- Verify and load parts on vehicles and ensure load contents are accurate.
- Coordinate with Materials and Logistics to ensure proper execution of parts to multiple locations.
- Work with Material Controls team to ensure accurate communication of information regarding parts and destinations.
- Education : High School Diploma or GED required
- Years of Experience : 2 or more years of experience operating comparable machinery including forklift, scissor lift, semi-truck, etc. required
- Software Knowledge : Basic Microsoft Office Applications
- Required to pass internal PIT course for forklift certification and maintain forklift certification
