Overview
E2 is hiring a Gas Engineering Project Engineer 1 to join the Pipeline Project Team. They will develop, evaluate, and implement efficient pipeline engineering project procedures to improve safety, reliability and efficiency of operations in various geographical areas located throughout Southern California.
This is a Hybrid role and requires 2 days a week in office in Chatsworth, CA.
Responsibilities
Engineering Process and Procedure Development
Coordinate with internal and external teams to create pipeline project procedures such as :
Purging
- Hydrotest & Spike test
- Tie-In
- Develop pipeline engineering design including design datasheet and MOP / MAOP restoration process
- Create submittal forms for pipeline modification, operation capacity change, tap application submittal and pipeline stationing request.
Project execution and coordination
Perform Quality Assurance / Quality Control on all deliverables.
Core Responsibilities
Provide specialized engineering support across various natural gas utility disciplines to address operational challenges and develop solutions.
Define project scope, budgets, and timelines. Manage end-to-end activities to ensure successful project delivery, including implementation of recommendations.
Interpret and apply industry codes and regulations, review proposed changes, and contribute to internal standards.
Identify advancements in technology, refine workflows, and enhance operational programs.

Wage Data Per State Requirements
Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
