We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team and assist in the assembly of ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assemble complex mechanical systems using hand and power tools. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow precise assembly instructions to ensure high-quality finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble ground support equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools and power tools to fit, fasten, and secure mechanical components.
- Inspect and verify parts to ensure they meet specifications before and after assembly.
- Perform quality checks and troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols and company policies.
- Identify and report defective or missing parts to supervisors.
- Read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and part lists.
- Perform final inspections to ensure product meets quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
