Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in order fulfillment, warehouse management systems, and possess strong basic math skills. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our e-commerce operations.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Load and unload packages using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues as necessary.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing orders.
- Collaborate with the distribution center team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes within an e-commerce environment is a plus.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
