Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled test technician to join our team in Windsor, CT. The test technician will be responsible for performing electrical, mechanical, and functional testing of ground support equipment to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical testing on ground support equipment (GSE).
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures to verify equipment functionality.
- Use test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges to analyze performance.
- Document test results, issues, and corrective actions in test reports.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist in final equipment verification before delivery to customers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, or quality control in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the aviation, automotive, or heavy equipment industry is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
