Sr. Director, Product Performance Management

The Senior Director, Product Performance Management is responsible for overseeing budget performance, financial analysis, and operational tracking to support the President and assigned leadership. This role requires expertise in budget management, sales & marketing financial tracking, operational analysis, and Medicare Bid validation, ensuring data driven decision making and optimized financial performance. This role alignins product strategy, growth initiatives, and financial sustainability with company objectives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1.    Budget Performance & Financial Oversight
- a.    Leads budget performance tracking, ensuring alignment with financial targets and corporate strategy.
- b.    Supports the President and executive leadership with budget analysis, forecasting, and cost management recommendations.
- c.    Oversees budget planning processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and accountability.
- d.    Identifies budget variances and cost-saving opportunities, implementing corrective actions as needed 
2.    Sales & Marketing Commissions & Tracking
- a.    Manages sales & marketing commission tracking, ensuring accurate calculation, validation, and timely payments.
- b.    Develops commission performance reports, analyzing sales effectiveness and financial impact.
- c.    Implements automated tracking and reporting tools to improve transparency and efficiency in commission structures.
- d.    Collaborates with sales leadership to align commission models with company growth strategies.
3.    Operational & Strategic Analysis
- a.    Conducts operational analysis, identifying key performance trends, cost drivers, and financial risks.
- b.    Develops executive dashboards and KPIs to track business performance and operational efficiency.
- c.    Supports new product initiatives, market expansion, and pricing strategies with data-driven insights.
- d.    Leads special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as defined by executive leadership.
4.    Medicare Bid Validation & Coordination
- a.    Oversees Medicare Bid validation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- b.    Collaborates with actuarial, finance, product, and regulatory teams to validate bid assumptions and ensure data integrity.
- c.    Provides financial modeling and scenario analysis to support Medicare Advantage product pricing and bid submission.
- d.    Identifies risks and opportunities within the bid process, proactively addressing potential financial impacts.
5.    Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Support
- a.    Serves as a trusted advisor to the President and leadership team, providing strategic financial insights.
- b.    Partners with finance, actuarial, operations, network, and sales teams to ensure alignment on financial goals.
- c.    Prepares executive-level reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership meetings.
- d.    Ensures Medicare compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

Supervisory Requirements:

Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

• Required: 10 years of experience in budget management, financial planning, and operational analysis.

• Preferred: Strong background in Medicare Advantage, health insurance, or healthcare financial performance.

Expertise in budget forecasting, sales & marketing commission structures, financial modeling, and Medicare bid validation.

Education:

• Required: Bachelor' degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

• Preferred: MBA or CPA

Training:

• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Required:

  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in executive-level reporting, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate positively, professionally and effectively with others; provide leadership, teach and collaborate with others.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to establish and maintain a constructive relationship with diverse members, management, employees and vendors;
  • Mathematical Skills:  Ability to perform mathematical calculations and calculate simple statistics correctly
  • Reasoning Skills:  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; advanced problem-solving; ability to use advanced reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and design, implement and manage appropriate resolution.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:  Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Report Analysis Skills:  Comprehend and analyze statistical reports.

Licensure:

• Required: None

• Preferred: CPA certification

Pay Range: $113,332.00 - $169,999.00
