Accounting Consultant Team Lead Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual for this position who enjoys managing and developing people, streamlining processes, providing a high level of service, and welcomes the challenges that come with change and rapid growth. e2E and this role supports growth-minded entrepreneurial companies, providing a high-level of service partnered with a high attention to accuracy.
The Accounting Consultant Team Lead will oversee and manage the e2E, LLC Accounting Consultant team as well as serves as a member of the e2E client onboarding team. Responsibilities include staff onboarding and training as well as ongoing coaching. The Team Lead will review and recommend updates to processes, which may include managing updates to process documents and accounting workpaper templates. In addition, they will manage or provide oversight and support to the team as they perform certain client-related tasks. The Accounting Consultant Team Lead will provide technical accounting and GAAP support to the team with guidance from the Accounting Services Practice Leader. This position plays a central role in managing day-to-day administrative operations of the accounting consultant team and is responsible for staffing assignments, quality standards, and both internal team and external client experiences. This position also serves on the e2E client onboarding team and is responsible for initial accounting process documentation, account reconciliations, workpaper development, as well as a smooth transition for the new client from onboarding to the ongoing accounting consultant team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversees and manages the team delivering all client accounting services including bookkeeping, compliance, accurate accounting, month-end duties, data analysis, financial statement preparation, financial monitoring, strategy, and other accounting services.
· Hires, trains, and manages the Accounting Consultant team.
· Manages team performance and provides coaching that is timely and constructive.
· Handles performance management, discipline, and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
· Owns and manages team onboarding, communication, development, engagement, and satisfaction.
· Manages accounting team structure, operations, and staffing assignments.
· Builds and optimizes scalable client accounting team processes, standards, and quality metrics.
· Documents team processes and standards
· Collaborates with internal staff to identify opportunities to improve the client experience, quality, internal team workflows, and/or efficiencies.
· Serves as a member of the client onboarding team, assisting with the initial accounting duties for new clients during onboarding which includes performing initial account reconciliations, creating month-end close workpapers, documenting procedures, etc., to ensure a smooth transition to the assigned ongoing accounting team.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
· 7 years of related experience, including bookkeeping, bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR accounting, payroll, monthly close, adjusting entries, financial statement preparation, financial analysis and monitoring, and other related experience.
· 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
