Position Summary

The Managing Director is responsible for managing a team of Directors, developing and executing business strategies, maintaining & augmenting client relationships, and ensuring quality and compliance standards. This individual is responsible for leading and managing client projects and delivering financial advisory services to clients. This role is primarily client-facing, concentrating on relationship management, technical accounting, IP readiness, audit preparation, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of financial advisory services ensuring high quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Lead and oversee project teams, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration among team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Enhance E78's reputation and brand by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and excellence in service delivery, and by adhering to the firm's policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external parties, and provide them with strategic advice and solutions that meet their needs and expectations.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and feedback to junior staff, and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, where everyone can learn, grow, and deliver.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, through opportunity augmentation and cross-selling across other E78 practices, and support E78's business development initiatives, by leveraging their network, expertise, and reputation.

Required Education & Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree or a professional certification (such as CPA, CFA, or CA) is preferred.
• 12-14 years of experience in financial consulting, audit, advisory, or related services in a Big Four Audit, National Accounting, Management Consulting, or Professional Services firm with 5 years in a Senior Director level role and a proven track record of achievement of 20 % topline growth.
• Prior successful experience in a Controller/Accounting Manager role implementing ASC 606 and ASC 842 is preferred.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to perform valuation, due diligence, financial modeling, and other financial analyses, using various tools and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and issues to various audiences, in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams, and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work under pressure and handle changing priorities and expectations.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule 3 days a week in our Oak Brook, IL or New York, New York office.
• The salary range in Illinois and New York is $210,000 - $275,000, which includes a base salary and bonus, and will be based on experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex and large data sets.
• Proficient in financial modeling, valuation, and accounting principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with financial software, such as Power BI and Adaptive is a plus.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
