Controller

We are working with a client located in the Cypress area looking to add a Controller to the team. This person will report to the CFO and manage a small team. 100% in office and laid-back office environment. Paying up to around $140k plus bonus and potential equity shares.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations related to the Collections, General Ledger and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting if necessary
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate the year end audit with outside auditors.
• Integration of accounting/finance functions on all acquisitions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
• Minimum of 10 years of Accounting and/or Financial managerial experience plus proven leadership/management experience
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or an experienced sr. accounting manager with controller-type responsibilities.
• Experience with creating financial statements and variance reporting.
• Experience with multi-company consolidations for the month-end/year end close process.
• Experience with M&A, Purchase Price Accounting, Integration highly preferred!
