- Job Title: Buyer Planner
- Duration: 6 months Contract (with possible extension)
Location: 780 Commonwealth Dr Warrendale, PA 15086
- Shift: Mon-Fri ( 9am-5pm)
BUYER/ PLANNER JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Places and expedites purchase orders (POs); maintains and updates systems and documentation
- Reviews ERP system for recommended buys and evaluates requirements and follows up on ERP recommendations for PO schedule changes
- Communicates with internal departments to meet business goals for on time delivery
- Responsible for tracking late deliveries and negotiating returns on defective materials
- Assist in new part setups. location changes, and data maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated Ability to work well with others
- Ability to think strategically while remaining focused on details
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- MRP Experience
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams
- Highly motivated, Positive attitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to think independently, solve difficult problems, and achieve goals
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
