Responsible
Assistant Controller will oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations. This role is critical in the maintaining of accurate financial records, managing cash flows, and leading the accounting team to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements/Job Duties:
1. Oversee all aspects of accounting operation, including accounts receivables, inventory, accounts payables and human resources and supervision of staff
2. Good understanding of the manufacturing process
3. Work closely with other departments as part of management team member
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
5. Oversee regulatory reporting.
6. Cash management (inflows, outflows, reporting)
7. Analyze product costing
8. Ensure financial closing processes is completed timely and accurate per management closing schedule
9. Fixed asset management (including review of current assets and new asset purchases)
10. Accounting systems management
11. Direct Human Resource compliance
Qualifications:
1. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing accounting staff (CPA preferred)
2. Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
3. Strong general ledger accounting skills with thorough understanding of GAAP
4. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and organizational skills
5. Desire for growth into a management role
6. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with costing experience
7. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
