Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Requirements
- MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE
- BLS
- High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
- Telemetry Experience Required
- RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Two (2) Years Experience
ACLS
****Needs experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cedrene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the ICU, including catheterization, IV insertion, and tube feeding.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs using telemetry.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to ACLS and BLS protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on care procedures and health management.
