Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities.

Department Details: This is an inpatient psych hospital that serves adolescents, adults, geriatrics, military as well as detox and dual diagnosis pts. They have 10 detox beds, 62 psych beds (16 adol, 18 dual diagnosis, 28 adult) with medically cleared voluntary and involuntary patients.
Required Certifications: CPR, Aegis or they can train on-site
Required Experience: 1 year of inpatient psych experience, substance abuse exp is highly preferred
Dress Code: Scrubs, no specific color
Documentation: EHR-HCS
Additional Information: Nurse to patient ratio is always 1:12. There are BH Associates on day and night shift, as well as a house supervisor for each shift. Medical, psych and admins are also on-call at all times. They utilize holds, seclusion and chemical restraints and there is a designated Code Team to respond to psychiatric emergencies. Orientation will take place and 3 shadow shifts will follow.
Requirements
- Experience in infectious disease care, acute care, and urgent care settings
- Proficiency in catheterization, alimentation, and administering injections
- Knowledge of medical records management and sterile processing procedures
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
NIGHTS - 12HR: 7p-7a with weekends and holidays as assigned
