Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assemble instrument trays following established procedures
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
- Maintain accurate records of processed items
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely instrument availability
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage inventory effectively
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred but not required
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
