EAG is starting the search for an HR Generalist to join our team.
The HR Generalist will require strong prior payroll experience and will play a crucial role in supporting both employees and management, helping to create a productive and compliant workplace.
Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner, and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to manage changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and process EAG employees and client payroll cycles, in conjunction with the accounting team.
- Manage payroll for employees who work in multiple states, ensuring compliance with each state's tax laws, regulations, and wage requirements.
- Provide accurate and timely payroll reconciliations for each cycle for audit/ approval by the Director of HR.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual payroll reports and tax filings (e.g., 941, W-2s, state unemployment reports).
- Support internal audits by providing necessary payroll records and documentation.
- Administer benefits programs.
- Provide employee HR support by answering questions timely and with courtesy.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate, up-to-date employee records and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Electronically file relevant employment documentation and ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Support the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Recommend and implement innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to improve department efficiency.
- Support develop and facilitation of training programs on HR-related topics.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the successful completion and alignment of organizational goals.
- Assist with the coordination of seamless onboarding and offboarding experience.
- Perform regular audits of HRIS data, ensuring consistency and integrity across employee records, payroll, benefits, and other HR-related data.
- Manage facility-related events or requests, such as coordinating with the building maintenance for security or maintenance issues.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Experience/ proven ability managing confidential data with discretion and professionalism.

Experience, and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or HR Generalist with a focus on Payroll processing.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and employment standards.
- Strong experience with payroll administration/cycle processing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8 hours or more) in an office environment.
- Communication Skills (Speech/Reading): Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to understand and deliver instructions in multiple formats, including written, verbal, diagram, and schedule forms.
- Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.
- Vision/Hearing Abilities: Capability to interpret a range of instructions presented in various formats (written, verbal, diagram, or schedule).
