Job Description
Eagle Aviation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Avionics Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of general and corporate aviation aircraft by installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of avionics systems and equipment, be comfortable performing new installations, and possess strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. We are especially interested in candidates who are self-motivated, safety-focused, and eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair avionics systems and components in general aviation and corporate aircraft
- Perform functional testing of avionics equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with all regulatory standards
- Carry out 91.411 and 91.413 Pitot Static/Altimeter/Transponder checks and certifications
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals
- Install and configure systems such as NAV/COM, GPS, autopilot, RVSM, and other key avionics technologies
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs per FAA and company requirements
- Ensure proper handling and care of equipment, tools, and aircraft systems during all phases of maintenance
- Coordinate with the maintenance and completions teams to support avionics needs for upgrades, inspections, and customer modifications
Job Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of Garmin and Avidyne avionics systems
- Repairman Certificate for 91.411 and 91.413 testing preferred
- Familiarity with current FAA regulations and procedures
- Experience with avionics installations and upgrades
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and compliance
Compliance
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and TSA background screening.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
