Overview
This position is for a shipping clerk in a very busy warehouse. Duties would include working with drivers and keeping paperwork in order, recording and reporting every load, tagging loads to be shipped. Also, assisting with other reporting as necessary. Also assisting in office as needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials
- Verify orders, label packages, and prepare items for shipping
- Operate equipment such as reach trucks for moving materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and packing duties as needed
Requirements
- Experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and computer skills
- Ability patiently and kindly guide and direct drivers
- Knowledge Quickbooks is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
