Job Responsibilities: To program and troubleshoot robotic welding equipment and provide training for operators in addition to assisting in APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) for new products. RESPONSABILITIES Program and troubleshoot robotic welders and ancillary equipment Provide operator instruction and training Plan, organize and maintain equipment and process data Maximize production efficiency by reducing equipment downtime Assist Program Engineers at development stage during new product development Develop and implement Continuous Improvement suggestions Serve as Volkswagen Product Safety Representative (PSB is the customer-designation) Housekeeping and other duties as assigned Who we are looking for: 6 – 8 years of work related experience: resistance and MIG welding and repair; mechanical and electrical fabrication and repair; robotic welder programming and troubleshooting. EDUCATION/TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS CWI Certification Preferred or able to obtain within 12 months of employment. 4 year degree in Weld Engineering Technology or documented equivalent combination of education & work related experience required.
